was never a religious reader of comics, and haven't read much of any since going on a batman jag a few years ago, but have heard so many nice things about matt fraction's writing that i decided to check out his hawkeye books. they are deeply satisfying. it's not highbrow, it's not overly weird, it's not dark, it's just extremely good superhero comic writing. the first few books with fraction writing and aja drawing are perfect. just perfect. two solid characters with a killer dynamic, offbeat humor. blew through it in one train ride home and was in a good mood all night from the ambient joie de vivre. the last couple books are satisfactory but not sniffing the first three. i wish comic books were cheaper. that's what the library is for i guess.

I liked the art style at first but as the story continued it was less and less tolerable. It was hard at times to tell which character was which especially with that whole fiasco with Madame Mask...

I pretty much only liked issue #1 but of course that's one I had previously read.

I’ve heard about this run for years and I’ve heard it’s the best and genre defining and a must read. Finally getting around to it, I see why. That’s all true. This is probably the best comic I’ve ever read.

What an awesome read! Fun, heart-tugging and exciting. I loved Hawkeye to begin with and this just cemented it.

This was a mediocre story. It was better than any "super hero" book I've read. The art was really well done and the story was really realistic. Because Hawkeye doesn't have any super powers, he's an average guy. It follows the story after the Avengers and he kind of despises being involved with them. Definitely and interesting take on the classic super hero trade.

What a surprise! Especially after I tried to read Avengers: Age of ultron and couldn't continue it. So I hoped this one will just be good, but it turned out to be one of the best superhero stories.

Not the sort of thing I would usually read, but I read it for book club, and really enjoyed it. Loved the sense of movement, the humour, and the relationship between the 2 leads... but the Young Avengers episode adds very little.

So many details, so much craftiness. Script, aestethic, panel layout for some of the best slice of life fun.
