I've read this author's work before and enjoyed it, and I'm always up for a second chance romance, but I was a little bit wary of the secret baby trope. It just doesn't usually work for me because I too often end up disliking the secret keeper. However, Naima Simone approaches it a bit differently than the norm, and not only did it work, but I found myself liking this couple and rooting even harder for them once everything's out in the open. The story has a good pace, the couple has great chemistry, and the author really hit it out of the park with the secret baby trope, so I'd say this one is a definite recommended read.

this was such a quick, fun, angsty, steamy, and emotional romance, and I really enjoyed it! it's second chance & single parent - two of my favorite tropes. Charlotte and Ross have so much chemistry and I really enjoyed their romance as they got to know each other and finally opened themselves up emotionally. Both of them wanted to avoid love at all cost, and... obviously it didn't work out lol. Ross is definitely a slightly arrogant very grumpy hero, and he annoyed me sometimes but I liked him overall. And Charlotte is such a badass amazing woman, she's a chef and she's really head-strong, passionate, and kind. I really recommend this if you want a quick fun romance with quite a bit of angst!

I flew through this book! I love the second chance/secret baby story line. It's so easy to sink into and feel the emotions of the characters. I have struggled with other books in this same vein in the past, but this one was fast and steamy and just what I needed. I am here for more Naima Simone books now!
