There were a lot of things I really enjoyed about this book and a lot that left me frustrated. The biggest frustration, lack of communication between characters. So much could have been corrected with simply trusting each other and talking things out or giving everyone all the pieces to the puzzle. I know that it’s written that way for development sake and in most books it wouldn’t bother me, but it did in this one. Don’t know if I’ll continue the series or not.

I like complete honesty in my RHs so I’m feeling a bit iffy with all the secrets but I’ll hold on for the next one and see if things get better

This one seemed so promising at first, but I don’t think it really worked for me for a couple of reasons:

1. In the 84 books I’ve read this year, I have somehow managed to avoid the whole “daddy” nickname thing, until this book, and I can now confirm that I do not like it lmao. It felt so random the first time she said it and then she said it again during a serious/intense scene and it just completely took me out of it lol just… no, I cant.

2. The first sex scene with Cam felt.. rushed? In the sense that, she somehow immediately felt comfortable biting him and he took it upon himself to spank her without even talking to her about it beforehand. I feel like normally, you’d discuss things like this, especially considering her previous dating history AND that they barely know each other. It just didn’t feel realistic to me.

3. The dialogue was kinda cringey a lot of the time lmao. Also, I cringed so hard every time one of the characters said a joke and then the author would describe the characters having these over the top reactions to something that was not that funny.

Overall, I liked the premise and I actually did like the guys. I loved their protective personalities and thought it was so interesting to read about their affinities. I just didn’t feel invested in the story. I took my time reading it (not something I ever do, especially if I am enjoying it) and didn’t feel like I just had to know what was gonna happen.

Life is too short to not be crazy about what you’re reading, ya feel me? lol. I may not continue the series, certainly not any time soon, but I’d love to be convinced otherwise if the books are worth it!

Spectacular debut novel. This is amazingly written with incredible development through the plot. This book held me captive from the very first page until the last. I am very excited for book 2.
