Audiobook from Library.
At first I had a tough time with the audio book just because of the female narrators voice. I weird about voices sometimes. When I first heard her voice it was like nails on a chalkboard, I swear I got a headache from listening to it. I powered through it for a chapter or two and it got easier for me to handle. I'm not sure if I got more used to it or what. I do also think the first chapter or two she was doing more of an angry voice for what was going on. I did finish this and I think I can handle the other two books on audio although it was dicey for a bit. lol
The male voice was one I have heard in other Meghan March audiobooks and I do enjoy listening to him. Unfortunately her books tend to be heavier on the female characters, but closer to half than I think a lot of authors do for dual POV.
I did enjoy this but I'm not super in love yet. It's second chance romance which I don't COMPLETELY hate, but it's pretty far down on my list of things I am willing to read/listen to. I did enjoy that they tell the story of their previous relationship and then present but it's a lot of flipping back and forth. I feel like every time something is happening in one story then they switch times periods, which can get annoying, but I'm sure it's a technique that keeps people reading. I just find myself sighing sometimes when it flips to the other time period. lol
And as always Meghan March writes some really good smut. So far less smut than the Dirty Billionaires duet but that one was over the top smutty.
Also of course some times where you want to smack the characters on top of the head for being dumb and doing shit they JUST said they wouldn't do again to make this relationship work versus the first that didn't. Sigh lol

Listened as an audio book. Couldn't get past the fmc's narrator, just not for me.

~Reviewš~
Meghan March is the queen of cliffhangers. They always leave your jaw on the floor and your finger flipping back and forth between the current and next page, double checking that she really just left you hanging like that and there isn't some bonus chapter somewhere.
Romeo and Juliet + 2nd chance romance + conditional billionaire heir + small town drama.
Whitney is a runner and her first instinct is to bolt when things go wrong. When she comes back home to Gable after a fiasco in L.A., she's ready to bolt again when everything she touches seems to go wrong; except she can't seem to stay away from Lincoln, and this time he won't repeat the same mistakes and let her run.
