I don’t know what to say besides I love these books and these characters. I feel like this book specifically has so many more references to greek mythology and we learn so much more. The first three books had several stories and characters from mythology that I knew or had heard of, but this one was full of new stuff. Can’t wait to read the final book and final battle!

PERCY, why do you always get yourself into so much trouble?
WHY DIDN'T YOU STAY WITH CALYPSO? APHRODITE WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PROUD.

I forgot how much more adult these books went as they went along. Riordan trusts his young readers to handle more adult themes, and I respect that from him!

As a read these as an older person, and I have a more diverse knowledge of mythology, I'm able to pick out more references, and honestly that is super fun!

For a middle grade, this series is just incredible. I mean I cannot get enough of it. I love the characters - old and new. I love the dialogue, the plot, everything. It's so well-written.

Full review to come later.

The best one in the series until now.

Percy still as dense as character can be.
