3.5.
The series is a lot of fun and I like how it’s less serious than other urban fantasy. This one follows Alex instead of Verity and he’s into reptile cryptids. Verity followed more humanoid ones, so it was interesting to learn about the reptiles and see Alex study them.

Not bad, and also better as a reread. I didn’t really enjoy reading about Alex and Shelby until
they both knew that the other was involved in the cryptid world.
. I did enjoy getting to see the culture of another group of cryptids. Okay overall, still plenty of the same humor, just not my favorite of the series.

3.5? I don't love these two lead characters as much as the Verity branch of things, but this was a fun mystery plot. Plus good intros to new family members, and excellent new critters, I mean, cryptids.

I enjoy the Alex books better than Verity! He's a more interesting character.

I když se to na první pohled nezdálo, tahle série mě překvapila a velice rychle chytla. Je jednoduchá, čtivá, celkem originální a místy zábavná. Jen škoda, že u nás nevyšlo víc dílů.

Best line in the book (Australia. The only continent designed with a difficulty rating of "ha ha fuck you no.")

I don't usually read books from a male perspective but I actually enjoyed this one more than the previous two (from his sister's perspective). Maybe because he didn't run across rooftops all the time, lol?
From what I can gather, the series shifts narrators every couple of books and I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the Price crew is up to.
