Overview: I've only read one other book by his author (The Break) and I remember it being decent, but my tastes have changed since then. I won't lie...I seriously struggled to keep reading this. I should have DNF it, but the group chat was fun and several were saying it got better so I kept at it. But it really wasn't interesting enough to hold my attention for long. There was just no plot...apparently it was building towards a massive climax but it was just a bit...blah. And I felt it was far too long.

Good Points: The writing saved this book for me (hence why I gave it 3 stars). Well written, great, snappy dialogue and intriguing characters (although not exactly likeable).

Not so Good Points: A couple characters in particular annoyed the hell out of me and at times I felt like screaming out loud. As mentioned above the pace was very slow and I really did struggle to keep going. Should have DNF. The ending wasn't worth the effort.

Absolutely loved this.

Marian Keyes has always managed to perfectly create something like chick lit but which covers bigger life issues, is credible and not too sugary.

A long but easy read.

I found it really difficult to keep track of the characters - perhaps because I listened to this as an audiobook rather than reasia physical book. The author has a lovely voice but isn't a great narrator and I found it difficult to concentrate. It was an OK book but I pr bably won't bother to read or listen to any more by her.
