Fair enjoyed reading this, although there's not really a huge amount to it and it does feature a bit of repetition. A neat structure I'd like to follow, with alternative options as well. I might try several. I keep referring back to this in fact.

I was a complete novice to gardening and it was my year with a garden to grow food. This was the perfect book for me! I had one raised bed which was a lot smaller than the guides but I managed to adapt it some what.
This year I managed to grow salad, tomatoes, potatoes, Swiss chard, fresh beans, green beans, radishes, microgreens, strawberries, leeks, broad beans, blueberries, apples and raspberries with this book being my main guide! There were many successes and failures (my kale did not survive the caterpillar attack!) which I attribute mostly to not following the recommended raised bed size and ignoring advice to get netting set up. My advice - follow Huw’s recommendations and don’t cop out! He’s got handy guides as well for easier versions of his growing plan which is really helpful for busy people. I really recommend this book for beginner gardening, in compact spaces.
4.25 as I felt it would be helpful to see pictures of harvest ready plants to help me know when they’re ready to harvest, rather than just pictures of after they’re harvested. It would also have been helpful to see pictures of the netting he described. Also, I know it’s a veg book, but I would have loved to see some fruit in there - especially as the controversial tomatoes made the cut!
Finally, Huw often forgot to mention how many seeds of each veg you should sow or how many plants you should plant out. This led to a lot of guess work and I’m not sure I got it right! So if you like detail, you might need to look elsewhere

Škoda, že som túto knižku nemal v rukách pred dvoma rokmi, keď sme začali záradníčiť. Dnes to bola len pripomienka a utvrdenie v tom, že tak ako to robíme je tá správna cesta. Už nech je jar a môžeme sadiť!!!
