These Mead Mishaps books are so much fun - you know what you are getting if you've read the previous two. Strong, determined heroines, heroes who fall completely at their feet and worship the ground they walk on, magic, lots of spice, and so much banter and fun.

In this book, our heroine has been trapped by a dragon for a few years, and when another dragon appears in the picture, she decides this is her ticket to freedom. Dante, the dragon shifter, immediately recognizes her as his mate, and lots of shenanigans ensue.

Characters from the first two books make their appearance, which I love, because Kimberly Lemming writes insanely fun characters. This was a fun ending to the Mead Mishaps trilogy and I can't wait to see what Ms. Lemming writes next.

This was fun, cozy and chaotic in the best way. Dante’s loneliness made him one of the most sympathetic heroes in the series. However, I didn’t like how much of Cherry’s interest in him seemed driven by him being rich. She mentioned it a gazillion times. There’s also a sex scene involving Cherry in a metal collar and chain that just doesn’t work for me in a romance with a Black woman.

I absolutely loved this book! As soon as I started reading I could not put it down. It is cozy fantasy rom-com with some spicy and I absolutely loved it! The two main characters are great and feel so real with the way they are written. The world to me was interesting and the magical items throughout the book were amazing! I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

Honestly I'm a little disappointed with this one. After the first two this manages to come across as almost vanilla, and lacks some of the fun of the previous two. The longer length only seems to have made the pacing suffer, it is laughably bad in places but especially when the abandoned plot threads leap back into scope in literally the last nine pages. I'm not citing any book in this series as a plot masterclass, that's not really the intent of them, but this one feels messier than the other two.

That said, the characters are still fun, it doesn't shy away from some decent spice, I guess I just wish it had done more like the last two books and didn't feel like the author was now bored of her own concept.

Cute and fun read for the most part, but I was a little bored sometimes. The adventure wasn't as exciting as the previous installments in the series and the chemistry between Cherry and Dante was also a little lackluster. It was great to see the sword Alexis again but she wasn't super relevant to the plot (except for kind of being the cause of some drama near the end of the book).

There's overall less romance and spice in this book, and it started way later than the previous books. This is fine, except the plot was so boring it was hard not to notice the lack of spice. Unfortunately nothing really happened in this book. Cherry is Cin's sister who they all believe to be dead because she disappeared 5 years ago and I wish we had more page time with her spent at home reunited with everyone. We only got the epilogue.

But it's easy to read and fun to just turn your brain off and enjoy some fantasy and a little romance!
