I wholeheartedly went into this book not expecting a single goddam thing. No presumptions, no expectations, and not even a bit of excitement. However when I tell you it was literally one of the best literary surprises ever, I'm not exaggerating. I fell in love with every chapter, every word, and every sentence. I didn't want it to end. Also Christine and Raoul were so sexy, toxic, and insane. Need all my relationships to be like this. Mr ghost also gives off like depressed emo but hot kid kind of vibes and I'm really digging it tbh. Wish I could read this book all over again for the first time.

I loved the story and thoroughly enjoyed, unfortunately the edition, that is the translation that I read, was at times too confusing to follow and had me reading it few times quite agitated. I believe the story is written to be confusing sometimes because of its mysterious nature, but I don't believe this translation is the way the writer inteded it, so for me, because of the translation 4 stars. But the story is remarkable, unique, thrilling and more emotional than I anticipated.
