Longer than it looks due to small margins and text but a good read. Made me laugh a couple times and did actually touch on some serious topics.

Bit unsure how to rate this, since it wasn’t bad and it wasn’t good. Didn’t find it that funny and it gave more crack!fic vibes than anything. The characters were annoying, and not very well hashed-out. The story was fun to read, though, but it did take a while to pick up. Also for gods who’ve been around forever, some of them really haven’t integrated well into modern society.
Apollo mentioning rape that casually was a big no for me.
A fun quick read if you want some modern Greek gods living in London!

SUCH A GOOD BOOK
Its so funny and I love the concept that Marie Phillips decided to base the book on. The gods are just as you expect them to be in the modern world and there are little surprises. Mainly follows Apollo and Artemis as the main gods which I love bc they've been my favourite since I first discovered my love for Greek mythology- yes Apollo is still as awful as he is when it comes to relationships in the traditional myths (Aphrodite doesn't play a major role to the plot but I love her and she's very present. Probably the third main god paid attention to which is nice for a change)
The ending is very short but I was more interested in the gods just doing human stuff so I wasn't so bothered about that
Would definitely read again and I'm so glad I found it

This was probably one of the most interesting Greek mythology retellings I have ever read--and I've read a lot of them. In a way, it was also one of the more accurate retellings in terms of how the gods were portrayed. Despite living in the 21st century with all of its progressiveness and change, the gods are still as vulgar, spiteful, and uncaring as ever. It makes for an engaging, delightful read. The dynamic between two "Average Joe" mortals and these Olympians long past their prime is something you'll wish you had more of. Gods Behaving Badly takes you on a journey that you weren't quite prepared for, but you'll be happy you took when all is said and done. Also, I love Artemis. She deserves the world.
