I'm so glad I didn't skip the series after book 1 and 2. This was so good. I loved both characters, they fit so well together and the chemistry worked for me.

DNFed after MC started getting turned on by the same ex that’s supposed to be the book’s villain. Not to mention that the other MC sees him with his ex and assumes that he’s gay, despite also thinking that he has a girlfriend. Not a fan of bi-erasure.

Writing style was subpar and it was a typical overly sexualized MM novel.

Favorite of this series so far. I appreciated that their relationship wasn't outted before they chose bc it seems a lot of books with a similar plot rely on the media getting wind as a way to put them. This was similar but not and I liked that the character who wanted privacy stayed private until he wanted to.

I've been looking forward to Jumping Jude ever since we met him in [b:Borrowing Blue|48728556|Borrowing Blue (Made Marian #1)|Lucy Lennox|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1573157622l/48728556._SY75_.jpg|53786604] and got a hint of his bodyguard romance. And this did not disappoint!

Jude is a mega famous country music star. He's in the closet as he's afraid of backlash from being in the public eye, even from his family. After Jude gets jumped due to the negligence of his bodyguard, he gets a replacement in Derek, a musclebound ex-Marine.

Derek is also in the closet. For him it's due to the homophobic toxic masculinity of his family. Being in such close quarters with Jude is making it hard to keep his desires at bay.

Jude's and Derek's romance was so fun. From their bickering to banter that peaks in an explosive first (of many) kiss.

We get all the goodness that comes with a bodyguard romance. Constant contact, trying to keep it hidden from others, and Derek being protective and possessive when someone flirts with Jude.
