I expected something else. This was fast paced and cruel. Not bad but not memorable

Wow! That was good and I could not put it down. The story of Philo against Katie "The Hammer"(That's how I'm calling her) was a mesmerizing, dark and evil adventure to follow. What people were (are still) capable of doing just for money but, at the end, it won't never make them really happy, for me, that was the main point of the story. Also, we understand that the author underlined the importance of having a family in the story, whoever you are, rich or poor, good or bad, sane or mad.
BTW, do not go to fortune tellers, it never ends well.
