Sweet. The romance could have been developed more (felt neutral about them together), but I liked the story of growth and friendship.

Legends & Lattes is the epitome of cozy fantasy.

As a D&D lover, and a fantasy lover, this book ticked so many boxes for me. The found family was amazing, both in terms of Viv’s adventuring party and her new coffee shop family. I also really loved how much care was in this book, and how everyone in the community that Viv built had a perfectly shaped place for themselves.

I definitely have a soft spot for Thimble, but all of the characters are lovely! This is definitely a book where the ensemble shines, and they all add something to the story.

I will definitely be reading more from Travis Baldree, and also listening to more of his narration. I’d highly recommend the audiobook, he is incredible! 4 stars

I didn't think I'd like cozy fantasy, but this book was delightful!

Listened to the audiobook read by the author, who was a surprisingly adept voice actor. This book is VERY cozy, not to my usual taste but I found it to have just enough substance to keep me hooked. I particularly loved how Baldree described the flavor profiles of each food—so evocative and rich. My only pet peeve is that I wish the food/drinks/associated technology were more fantastical. It felt like a bit of a lost opportunity to only stick with conventional coffeeshop fare.

Lovely book. Classic without being contrived, and really good when you want a satisfying read. Reminds me somewhat of Juliet Marillier and Becky Chambers. Lighthearted and filled with kindness, but also with some real tension and a satisfying conclusion, complete with relatable characters you can't help but root for.

I really enjoyed reading this and I am excited to read the author's other books.

This was such a relaxing read. One of the other guys left a disdainful review that was like "has anyone REALLY ever wanted to know about the daily life of the barkeep your party visits in-between missions? 🙄" and my answer is a resounding 'yes! Me! I do!'

Baldree takes the time to really set up his characters (speaking mainly to Viv and Tandri here) and allow them to build their relationship in a way that feels incredibly realistic and natural. Even the side characters that have very little screen time seem like real people. He really did an amazing job of capturing the energy of a local coffeeshop but set in a fantasy world

If you're looking for a low stakes, queer cozy drama this is it!

I was looking to get back into reading/audiobooks and I'm so happy this was recommended to me.

My favourite part of books is character interaction and this book is just full of a fun and loving cast and that warms my heart like a warm cuppa. Sometimes the plot can feel a little stretched to fit the coziness and there are holes, but I truly adore this book.

Narrator wise, Travis Baldree did an amazing job. I was skeptical seeing the writer doing the narrating, but his video game passion really shines through. He does a fantastic job and I was hooked all the way through.
