I really enjoyed all of the lore drops in this book! Learning more about how everyone got there was my favorite part honestly. But the romance between Farli and Mardok really was hot! It was so sweet and realistic. Having Mardok there now will be great for the world in general, he has a lot of knowledge and can lead to new discoveries.

Also… so excited about Bek’s little part… looking forward to more!!!

It’s definitely a tough choice  to give up everything you’ve ever known for the one it love. I’m happy that Farli finally got her story and Mardok is a great character. I also love that you get some origin lore. And if you’re into it, MMC has a Prince Albert.

Now the plot thickens! Modern Sakhui?? Farli is the cutest and the whole piercing pocket thing??? 🥵 This one was heavy on the world building but I loved it! The romance was great!

500 freaking stars. This was AMAZING. While the rest of the series was for the most part of the cheesy but lovable variety, this was AMAZING. I loved it so much. It was a bit like Pocahontas/Little Mermaid with the wild strange mysterious “I cannot understand your language” woman meeting the strange foreigner. I was so excited to learn more about the modern not on this planet blue alien people.
I’m so glad it ended how it did. I was worried for a bit- but really, Farli could never leave us.
She is my favorite character in the entire series and has been for a long time. I envision her as a sa-khui version of the Black Panther’s sister. Feisty and smart and young and beautiful.  I LOVED IT!

Fun story! Dixon shakes things up in this book with the introduction of outsiders and the chance for the natives and humans to leave. I liked Farli and believed in their connection.

Plot: A ship of more modern sak-khui land on the planet, and Farli resonates to one of them. They have CRP balance his fear of being left behind with her love of her homeland.

Heat level: 5
