A great part 2 in this series.
This story picks up right after the first ended and we jump back in to the aftermath.
It was a bit faster paced than the first and had a bit more action. I felt like we were able to dive deeper into the returning characters, as well and get to know more about a few new faces.

I am obsessed with this series! I'm listening with my partner and damn does it throw all of our other plans out the window because I just wanted to read this every day until it was finished. I'm so sad to be on the last book because I know it'll be done soon.

Every time I think I've got a handle on how the story will go, this series throws a curveball. It had me gasping aloud and smiling wildly at different moment.

I'm such a big fan.
Magic, diversity, Irish (the narrator for the audiobook is great). I don't think I can find anything I don't like.

Listened at 1.5x speed on the Libby app through my local library.

Really enjoyed the character development and expansion in this installment. They are messy yet loveable. The magic system is well explained and diverse. The plot is engrossing and touches on a lot of topics such as religion, feminism, racism, gender and politics that can be emotional and thought provoking without being overpowering.
