This felt a little similar to Ward D, but I still enjoyed it.

What can I say this was more dramatic than any romance books I have read. The who did it, who to trust and the pointing finger game isnât for me. I was just frustrated waiting for answers and we didnât get any until the end. I didnât care for the characters they should all be in jail. I wasnât phased by the plot twists, characters or ending.Â
Also who doesnât know you could make pancakes from scratch?! Crazy.
Lastly the unrealistic release immediately after someone went to jail is crazy as a huge fan of crime. It would take years not a weekâŠÂ
Maybe thriller isnât for me? Or Freida as an author isnât it for me? I donât know.Â

Felt like I was reading some adult version of I know What You Did Last Summer. Most of the book was mediocre, and the reveal was almost laughable, but the last chapter, the epilogue of what really happened after the reveal, gave me chills.
Only thing I canât figure out is whether Shane and Brooke are related. They share a father, so yeah, but then why are the characters treated as if they werenât half-siblings? Very confused!

- This was by far my favorite book from Freida out of the 4 Iâve read so far!!
- There was so much suspense and mystery and I loved the past and present POVs where the details were revealed little by little.
- This was one of those thrillers that I was so sure was going to be disappointing because the killer couldnât have been more obvious but by the end I had to just sit there for 5 minutes trying to process what just happened because I was in SHOCK. I didnât see any of that coming and itâs definitely one of my favorite twists!
- Also, that last line???? It was another twist I wasnât expecting and itâs definitely going to haunt me.
- If you loved Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier, Iâd highly recommend this because it reminded me of it with the way that the MCâs ex is the suspected killer and they both have pretty shocking endings. I canât wait to read more by this author and Iâm already trying to decide whatâll be my next read!!

Just when I thought I had figured out the book and what actually happened, here comes Freida McFadden with ANOTHER twist. There was like 3 twists at the end. Such a wild ride, and I loved every minute of it.Â
