 Reese's Book Club Pick 64/69

This book was all over the place and I'm not sure if it's because Maya was such an unreliable narrator, or if it was partially because Reyes wasn't sure of the direction she was going. Things like the story of Maya's father felt like it didn't always fit into the narrative and I really struggled to connect it to the rest of the story. Parts of the premise were pretty cool but I just wish the book had been better executed and that things weren't vague to the point of not making sense...

This constantly felt like it was on the verge of something happening but it never did. The ending was especially unremarkable.
