REVIEW:

I came across this series of quickies while looking for some con-non-con and non-con reads. And this was decent!

It is very quick and the steam wasn’t as hot as I was hoping for. But it was good enough to keep reading more in the series.

The story starts off appearing like it’s non-con with Colton plotting and acting out kidnapping and raping Rose. But in the end it’s revealed that were role playing and are actually married with kids. Didn’t expect that!

I liked it. Like I said, the sex wasn’t as hot as I thought it would be. Kind of mild for a CNC. But I still enjoyed it alright and will read more from the series.

This was going to be a 3 star review until the very last paragraph. Super smutty, very taboo, but oddly heartwarming.

This book comes with a warning about dubious consent so I probably shouldn't have been so surprised by what I read I knew the lines of consent would be crossed in this short story but this read like rape porn from page 1. There was no hesitation or doubt about whether or not it was rape, in my mind it simply was.
Granted there is a twist ending where you find out the couple is actually happily married and this was a weekend getaway fantasy fuck fest for them so it was all actually role-playing, even nothing about their thoughts or actions betrays this fact until the very last page so the whole time I read this I really thought this girl had been kidnapped and is being raped repeatedly. If I had known that little tidbit about them just role-playing from the beginning it would have made the book bearable. But honestly, nothing gave away the surprise ending it almost seemed like the author had a completely different ending in mind while writing this story before going with the 'surprise they are actually a happily married role-playing couple' ending.
Sorry Alexa Riley this one went too far for my tastes.
