I ate all of this up; the plot lines, the humor, the banter, the spice, all of it. There was some phenomenal character development and I loved the mental health representation throughout the book. Another phenomenal book from Elle Kennedy.

I really enjoyed this book. I found the characters humour just hit my funny bone every time. The element of suspense was unexpected but not unwelcome. As always I really enjoyed this Ellen Kennedy book. My only downer was there didn’t seem to be enough hockey for this to be a hockey romance series :)

I feel like the ending was just not as satisfying as i‘d hoped it would be like your telling me in the last 20 pages percival was there instead of pure happiness and he did that to her and we don’t even get to see the guy truly suffer no than at 89% the dad dies like do you hate your characters so much that you just have to ruin their life like what was the reason it was all sweet and romantic but then it just got bad and
dark

Very cute (Malka I know you're reading this)
Less good than the 1st in the series but still cute.

DIDN'T LOVE the complete glossing over of the suffering that comes with pancreatic cancer at the end. Just kinda threw that one in there for the shock value and to kill off Shane's dad for literally no reason at all. (My mother suffered and died from pancreatic cancer. From official diagnosis to death was only 7 months for her.)- not that I'm biased or anything but it's the worst one out there and has the lowest survival rate of all the cancers. A bit cheap to throw it in at the end there for basically no reason. (Why even kill him off at all? but ALSO you didn't deal with ANY of the very real grief he was probably going through after losing his father AFTER HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HE WAS SUFFERING WTF. From the time he found out until his father died was 3 days. But sure let's just patch that up and have him go over for a month or two to help with things around his family home and realize he's over it to be with his girlfriend.

ALSO ALSO this book wasn't really about abuse but when it did deal with it, it also sorta glossed over it (but spent a bit more time on it). Obvious abusive guy is abusive and violates restraining order basically right away.
Liked it- but felt like it threw in random things it didn't have to just for the cheap twist factor.

Never related to how a character and their feelings are described quite like Diana. A very emotional read for sure. Many tears shed. Yet also quite healing.
