Prediction: I think Marc Moreau is the culprit who is picking off the competitors. Or Fiona. Or Steve.

Culprit?? Colonel Bruno Lombard.
Don't like the way Steve describes Fiona's sensuality.

Finished but still confused on the who and why of the killings.

I walk away from this book having learned a decent amount about cycling, but that's mostly it. The writing is extremely choppy. The ending is obvious early on and the mystery itself is repetitive without much forward movement. Unique setting for a story, though.

I really enjoyed this book - found out about it online and decided to give it a go as it sounded interesting. The mixture of mystery and cycling was very well balanced, however readers more in favour of the murder mystery aspect of this book may not fully understand all of the cycling references of it. However for me, it was very enjoyable and I loved Marc's characterisation and the domestique role that is a main aspect of this mystery.

I do not understand cycling enough for this book to be intriguing or engaging. Also the ending was quite lackluster and didn't really add up

Suffers a bit in the translation, but overall very exciting writing in the race scenes and a lot of inside baseball of the elite cycling world.  Ending wrapped up way too quickly and was unsatisfying, and
Spoiler cliffhanger setup for a sequel was kind of cheesy
.  Did really like the sense of uncertainty throughout the book, added a lot of atmosphere, and also made me question whether the narrator was reliable.  Would recommend (except for the very ending).

Bel libro. Finale un po' confuso. Ottima la narrativa e avvicente la trama, credibili i personaggi. Consigliato a tutti gli appassionati di ciclismo e di sport.
