This book transcends whatever your interest in tarot or "wellness" may be. The writing and insight of the author--her overall approach--makes this reading experience a truly spiritual one. I imagine it would awaken an interest in developing a relationship with the metaphysical, if, for some reason, you don't yet have one.

I am not entirely sure how to feel about this book.

The author is someone from the margins, not someone in the current psychology field, but near it.

Adding therapy speak to the tarot was interesting. There were some cards where what she said made a lot of sense, but quote a few cards where I disagreed.

I think my biggest problem with this book is religious dogma. The author either is or has come from a Christian background. I'm not reading this book because I want a Christ analogy, I'm reading this book because I want mental health and the tarot together.

Literally unreadable, though I’m looking forward to using it as interpretation for cards as I draw them. Dore refrains from having any particular point of view; the initial context setting is as dry as the worst psychology textbook (and really only contains information that would be found in one); there is so little information about her, her perspective, why she wrote this book, what she was informed by, etc. But the illustrations are lovely!
