I read a lot of RH books so I like to mix it up a bit and this was just what I needed. Trinity gets caught up in a trap while running in the woods and oh what a lucky girl she was to stumble into the hands of 4 hot alpha men. Owen the scientist, Zack the marine, Carter the carpenter and Lucas the doctor have managed to create a farm that provides them with food and protection. Trinity has been on the run fighting to survive and is in rough shape. The men want to take care of her and in the process they all develop feelings for her. This book is told in Multiple POV’s, there is action, its steamy and heck why not throw is some zombies!

Claiming Her is an enjoyable reverse harem read with a unique setting and lovable characters.

A couple years ago, the world went crazy. People were dying from some crazy virus so the CDC rushed a vaccine. Unfortunately, this vaccine didn't heal people. It turned them into zombies. In this new world, you run to survive, moving from place to place just trying to avoid getting your face eaten. Trinity started out with a large group, but now it's just her, her old boss, and an elderly woman who is barely hanging on. Increasingly creeped out by her old boss, Trinity is becoming even more worried about what the future holds.

After an attack leaves Trinity alone, stuck in a trap hanging in the trees, she is saved by a man and taken to his home. Four guys, the last members of their own survival group, are holed up on an abandoned farm. They take Trinity in, and together, they introduce her to a post-apocalyptic lifestyle that isn't so bad.

This was a great story. There's not too many zombie/post-apocalyptic reverse harems out there so I really enjoyed reading this one. The guys were interesting and I liked getting to know them better throughout the story. They were all a little jealous in the beginning- and I was worried this would turn out to be a fake reverse harem where the girl only ends up with one in the end- but that was not the case. This just made the story more believable- that the guys would initially struggle with the idea of sharing. Trinity was a good character, a little soft (it's the apocalypse girl you gotta toughen up a bit). But, her vulnerability is really what made her relationship with the guys possible.

Overall Claiming Her was a great story that I enjoyed reading and I will definitely be reading more of this author in the future!

Me when there's zero romantic tension in a standalone RH book: 😲😡😡

Eh

Very minimal story. Deadly virus. The antidote turns people into zombies. Have to survive. Trinity stumbles onto a farm with four guys who save her. Cue lots of bedtime activities and that’s your story.

Is it a quick read? Yes. So obviously you can’t rate it as if it were a full length novel. I don’t expect there is enough time to build deep genuine connections but I do wish the elements of insta love were taken out. I wanted to give it 3.5 stars just but it was cute, it was well written. It’s just I can’t seem to wrap my mind around everyone being in love after 2-3 weeks maybe? Not much time at all. The spice was simple and sweet. Even if it was a bit repetitive. But I’m rounding up cause anyone looking for an insta love RH is gonna love it and I don’t want to bring the rating down for something I know I don’t particularly enjoy.

Ok so the writing was good. It was descriptive, gave a very very minimal backstory on all the characters, and the chapters/scenes were well put together and written. I had to give it two stars because the writing was good. Just wish there was more story to it. It’s very basic.
