If you lived outside of NOLA in 2005, you should read this book...it gives a more meaningful reality to the time and place, the pain, damage, suffering and resiliency of many residents. However, the stereotypes are strong and not all the characters are as likeable as one might prefer. Ater you read it, tell mem "what would you have done?"
