I hated in previous books that all the characters had separate journeys with just too much dramatic irony BUT THEY ALL CONVERGE!Graphic: War, Violence, and Sexual content

This whole series has been up and down for me emotionally. But this one really got me! I had tears streaming down my face at multiple points.
100% worth the read! Read the whole series!

Okay, so this might also be my favourite of the series too. This book broke me, and I knew it would as it did when I first read it, was I expecting to cry so much that my throat felt like it was being crushed too? No ✌🏻
There’s just so much in this book, so much drama, personality and hope. God. It hurts my soul.
Also particularly loved this quote:
"You will find, Rolfe, that one does not deal with Celaena Sardothien. One survives her."
TWs: War themes, graphic depictions of violence and gore

"Empire of Storms" picks up right after the conclusion of "Quenn of Shadows". Aelin Galathynius wants to take her rightful spot on the throne, but she still has a lot of work to do before that can happen. She has sworn her heart to the prince, and promised to save her people, but everything becomes more complicated when new monsters emerge.
As this series goes on, I am liking it less and less. I do not know if I just missed something earlier on or if this is just not the fantasy series for me. I did really enjoy "Throne of Glass", but something has been missing for me since then. Despite the high stakes, I was never invested in this story. I have lost my love for the characters and I do not care what is happening.
I really want to finish this series, so I will be continuing, but I am not exactly "excited" to pick up "Tower of Dawn".
