Harry August is an Ouroboros, a person who lives there entire life, dies and is reborn again with their entire memory of the past life. He meets up with the Chronos Society made up of similarly situated people.

Amazing premise and a wonderful plot. Part alternate history and part thriller.

Pretty slow read that was hard to get into. If you are into academic sci fi, historical fiction, and don’t mind some torture gore this might be for you. But the writing style and characters weren’t for me. I would have DNF’d if I wasn’t reading for a book club.

⍣ ೋ DNF after reading the first couple chapters & skimming the rest: absolutely nothing wrong with this, but my brain preferred to read something more cozy :-)

Really enjoyed this book. An interesting plot that I haven’t seen before with an uplifting ending.

I love the premise (a lot!), but I was a little underwhelmed by the plot. Too much like a spy or action story for me. Also, the main character is kind of morally deplorable and hard to sympathize with. I feel like there could have been a more profound message.
