Quizá necesite ver una buena dosis de la decadencia de la naturaleza humana antes de entrar en el mundo real. Así el susto no será tan grande.

Colleen Hoover always makes me cry. I’m slowly working on her backlist and I have yet to find a book that I dislike. My only real issue with this book is the fact that the trigger warnings are spoilers. This can be avoided if authors stop using different types of trauma as plot twists - but looking up the trigger warnings for this book is most definitely going to spoil some of the major plot points in this story for you. With that being said, I'll tag them as spoilers below for anyone who wants to know ahead of time before reading.

Trigger Warnings are the spoiler:
Spoilermental illness, suicide mentions, graphic suicide scene, child rape, sexual assault, suppressed memories, kidnapping, and probably others.

Please take care of yourselves and look up the trigger warnings if you are sensitive to certain topics. This book definitely has plenty of sensitive topics and triggers to be aware of before reading.

So this was my first Colleen Hoover book and I can tell you that by the end my heart has been ripped out a ridiculous amount of times and is finally repaired (only slightly).

Her storytelling and word-weaving skills have officially amazed me. I absolutely love LOVE chick lit and really well thought out plots and stories that throw new things your way, but don't overdo it so you're going: "okay that's just for shock value". I felt none of that when I read this novel and I desperately want to read the sequel.

Hopeless did not disappoint.

I have just been through the equivalent of an emotional roller-coaster, so I am going to find something that doesn't rip my heart out right now.

But, I will say this: Colleen Hoover's writing has now become my new addiction. GIVE ME MORE!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Colleen's books
Do they feel abit confusing sometimes? Yes they do
Can the writing be a little better? Yes it could
But My God the story redeems anything! And what a story this was!
This is not your typical boy meets girl love story, it is not a love at first sight also
So if you are reading it for that or for spice then stop
This is a much deeper story, a psychological telling of childhood trauma
I would have given it 5 stars if not for a couple of things
1- the ages, i find it difficult to believe that 5 year old children could make a life long friendship. I mean would you pine for someone you were friends with for a couple of years at age 3 then have not seen them for nearly 14 years?!
2- the other is the guilt syndrome Holden obviously have. Did he really love Sky or was it his guilt that manifested this love?

Other than that it was an amazing book as usuall
