This book should have a trigger warning list.

I was waiting for Holden to hit her the entire book, and waiting for “Sky” to realize that she wasn’t experiencing lust for the first time but fight or flight.

I then got to page 149 where something sinister comes to light and couldn’t read this book word for word anymore. I don’t know if it says something about the predictability but I was able to skip absolute chapters without missing a single important thing.

Trauma as a plot device seems sloppy but I’m not an author.

A quick read - tragic in parts, very cringey in others. Dark themes and not exactly a literary masterpiece, but it kept me hooked enough to continue reading the series.

I was not expecting this book to be about SA. I thought it was done well though!

This book was so good! The beginning personality of the main guy wasn’t my favorite. I didn’t like the original anger and pushiness her showed. That is explained a little later in the book, but that doesn’t excuse it. Overall I loved the story! There were so many plot twists and it kept me hooked! I thought the ending was perfect!

I felt a bit disconnected from the characters. Their pain was just so far out and described in a way that it was hard to understand and relate (maybe it’s just me), the same with the romance, however it was very engaging and a quick read.
