This triangle is killing me, I love Roth so much, sorry Zayne, definitely a book I couldn't put down after waiting for it and picking it up as soon as it was released, yes it's one of those books you need to read all night long and yet you don't want to be done with it. I never thought I would love a demon, but yes I love the Prince of Hell. I need more, please! The wait is going to kill me!

This book was amazing. I do NOT like books with love triangles, so if I'm saying this book was amazing. I guarantee you. It. Was. Amazing.
While the love triangle didn't exactly feel like rainbows and unicorns...I guess I get it. I for one am teamRoth. (MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T READ THE NEXT FEW LINES. I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S SPOILERY. MIGHT BE)

I feel this way because I believe that Roth's feelings for her are not supposed to be possible for a demon to posses, but tan dan dan, he sacrificed himself for her in the end of the previous book.
But Zayne? He was OBLIVIOUS to her until the end of the last book...when she shifts. WTH. I don't know...I just feel like something isn't right with his feelings for Layla. I don't doubt them. I'm saying maybe they haven't formed for the right reasons.

OKAY. YOU CAN READ NOW.

This book was PACKED. Just amaaaaazing. And while I expected some part of what was revealed in the end, but when I found out the whole truth.. MIND BLOWN. I mean...just whoaaaa. And while the ending was a cliffhanger...I didn't mind it so much. I mean, how much more can the woman write? TeamJen!

FIVE STARS!

I LOVE this series. It’s so addictive I feel like I can’t ever put it down. I’m desperate to know what’s going to happen next.

After that ending I didn’t even wait 30 seconds before picking up the next one. I did not see that shock coming. Oh boy.

I love all the characters in this book so much. Every single one offers a little something that just makes you feel complete.

Zayne I want to just steal for myself and keep him because he’s adorable and I love him. I am fully team Zayne (at the moment). Apparently I like the good ones…

Again, I love how the fantasy elements are set in the real world. I would like a quick visit to hell at some point though. I’m intrigued.

This is definitely a YA book though. There’s no explicit descriptions or dialogue that’s too sexual. Usually I prefer NA because I need me some spice but I feel like there’s just enough in this to get away with it.

The only negative is, looking back, I’m trying to think what actually happened in this book. A lot of it was focused on the romance rather than the actual storyline.

I think I have found another favourite author. I really enjoyed this book and I am loving the series. Just when I think I know the direction it is heading it takes me another way. Can’t wait to listen to the next book, but like always sad once I have finished them.

I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as it was very Zayne centric and I'm not his biggest fan.
Plus Layla is a complete hornball!!! She's tingling all over the place!
I did enjoy the overall story progression though and am going straight onto the next one.

shortie shortie shortie shortie shortie shortie shortie shortie

The ending was pretty predictable because the foreshadowing is heavy, the build up with the first player in the love triangle was useless (we all know which guy is end game), and I hated the fake (but real to the FMC) break-up scene and inevitable reveal that plagues YA books from this time period. I knew it was coming from the title of the book but was still annoyed because I knew I’d have to deal with the guy I didn’t like as much, and also knew it would paint the guy I liked as bad (just like Twilight).

The writing still has that cheesy YA style, but IMO it was a little more over the top in this book compared to the first. Honestly, I’m going to read the 3rd book anyway because the first book was fun.

I just hope I don’t have to read the word “shortie” again
