I read this under its new title, Poppy and the Beast, and I just think that is the perfect title to sum up this book.

Mac is literally a tall growling grumpy beast and he meets Poppy who is just a ball of sunshine and energy.

Yes it is the definition of the grumpy sunshine trope and it does it so well!

I really loved the banter, the humour, the sweetness.... the spice.

There is also a little twist that I actually didn't see coming and it went a slightly different way that I anticipated which was quite refreshing, as usually with romantic comedies, I figure most of it out and just enjoy the ride.

I kind of want Jonathan's story... I think he is a beast who needs some sunshine and I would absolutely be here for it.

This book was exactly what I needed for a good laugh and to warm my heart this cold winter.

If you enjoy romantic comedies with a hunky man who works in a forge... cue the flush... then definitely check this one out!

I really loved Mac and Poppy. HOWEVER, the male model on the cover looks NOTHING like the description in the book...at least to me lol

I loved how Mac talked with his eyebrows and silence. I loved how Poppy understood him. I love how she realized she lost herself and set out to fix that. I love how she never gave up on Mac and how quickly he gave in.

Such a great story!

Welcome to NYC Poppy, if you're not careful, the wolves will eat you alive, and with some of them, you just might be a willing meal.

When Poppy lands a prospective job in NYC, she says goodbye to her Savannah home, her ex-boyfriend that can't get the hint, and her family. Her new job isn't without its challenges, but she likes it. But then she meets Mr. Tall, Built, and Handsome, and it's on, or it would be on if she could get more than a few words out of him. But there's just something about him that has her hooked, and despite the fact she does all the talking, she likes being around him.

Mac is a special sort of broken, and he shows his hurt with a giant wall of protection, physically and emotionally. Poppy has such a fun and outgoing personality that it's easy for her to work on those walls and drawn him in. Poppy is the fun to his serious, the perfect balance and the sunshine he needs. This was such a fun story and I love these two together, the heat level is intense. I finished this last night and I'm still recovering, and I wholeheartedly support anyone getting a little (or a lot) of Mac in their lives. A truly fun read.

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart is an opposites attract contemporary romance.
I enjoyed reading this story. It had a sense of humour you come to expect from the author
I found Mac to be a uniquely different character and loved seeing him develop into himself. Poppy was a weird one for me though, not really sure why.
It was another good read by an author fav of mine.

Poppy James is the perfect amount of Southern sweet & sassy. She’s the kind of character you can’t help but love.

Mac is hot, broody, and even a dash of sweet.

These two make the perfect combination.
This story is full of laughs, struggles, & family!

Game Changer

5 stars

Game Changer was another great read by Sylvie Stewart. I always enjoy picking up one of her new releases as I know that I am most definitely going to be in for a good read. I was easily lost in Ms Stewarts writing and I loved the characters Poppy and Mac. This really was a sweet read, it made me laugh and it definitely made my heart all warm and fuzzy. Poppy was such a wonderful character to read about her, I really admired her tenacity and I loved the quirky side to her personality. Mac was one of those characters that whilst I knew straight away that I was going to love him he made me work for it! I definitely had to get to know him! I loved reading their story and I think it is definitely one of my favourites of 2019!
Game Changer was a fantastic 5 star read that I highly recommend!

Small town girl..big city boy. One open emotionally the other is closed. One silly and the other is Intense. Can they ever match? This was a slow starter for me. I understand why later it’s because the author has a lot of setting up to do for the end of the book. That’s where thing really got happening. It all seemed to come full circle. Poppy’s job and Mac’s job. Poppy’s family and Mac’s family. Poppy’s friends and Mac’s friends. Look who is matching now!

This is listed as a romantic comedy but I honestly didn’t feel it was. There were a few times but mostly it seemed darker and more serious. That could be attributed to the male lead. He is a alpha male who is dark and broody. She refers to him as a dragon or King Kong multiple times. He says he doesn’t have a word limit a day but between you and me...I think he does. So getting his story out of him is like pulling teeth.

I enjoyed the sister, Iris, and a co worker, Naveed of Poppy. They both added some flair to the story. Even Bunny, Bobby Lee and Cookie were some nice additions.

This isn’t my first book by this author. I love her Carolina Series. This just seemed to reach quite that high. The story was good and the characters had growth. The author did a good job relaying the intense attraction the two MC’s had for each other. I was saddened and irritated a few times while reading. Then I did get that big “O” of shock. I didn’t see that coming. This is a good story to me though not a rom com

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart is a romantic comedy. This is not my first book by this author and it will not be my last. Stewart creates a great story and characters that you can become apart of easily. I found that this was a fast paced story. I was reading the story and even my puppy was looking at me funny because I was laughing so hard. This is a story that proves that opposites attract. I recommend this story to anyone who needs a laugh.

I enjoyed this romcom story and is my favorite yet by this author. I never hesitate to pick up one of this author’s books as I know that I am in for a good laugh, this one was no different. This is an opposite attracts story that is a fast paced story that left me turning pages. The characters made the story feel real and pop off the pages with their humor and banter. They will show you that opposites can attract and an HEA could be within their reach. Check it out, I highly recommend this book.
