The main topic of the book is how to set up a structure to be able to accomplish our goals.
Given the fact that Marshall Goldsmith is a coach, he highlights coaching as the main source of structure for behavioral change.
I would recommend this book only for an entertaining reading but would definitely go with "The Power of Habit" for real understanding of how to provoke and keep change.

Marshal Goldsmith gives some good advice, but generally, his book is oriented mostly towards white, (mostly) male of educated middle/uper classes audience, born during or shortly after the baby boomers generation. And for people who do not fight with depression or other mental health issues. So that quite restricts the applicability of his advice.
But hey, one can try, right?

It’s a really great for those who wants to be aware of how the environment around them can trigger emotions within you and how you can control and create that environment, and not allow the environment to control you.

Have you ever noticed and observed how your behaviour changes from one environment to the next? This book highlights the various ways how where you are can influence on what you do e.g. bad relationship with a colleague can make you look bad in front of other colleagues.

I have created a video and written a blog post about my review of this book and why you should read it >> https://iamahmedkhalifa.com/blog/triggers-marshall-goldsmith-book-review/
