Sooo... this just got suddenly racist in a way I did not remember from when I was seven and last read it. Seriously disappointed and DNFing. One extra star for the audiobook narrators, who are very French and very amusing. I will be looking elsewhere for French practice.

I'm 33 years old and I can't believe I waited this long to read this book it was an absolute delight. My sons are both going to read it after me. A candy filled delight but also had a really great message on not being spoiled.
