I knew there was going to be a cliffhanger and I know that I have instant relief with the second book releasing at the same time but I still screeched like a pterodactyl that forgot how to fly in midair at the end!

Niko was deliciously written, I loved him in the previous duet and this book, this book justified my little book crush. He is obsessed but doesn’t use that to push Sofia into his wants. He leans into hers and pushes her towards what she wants. Truly pushing her to set herself free, letting her use him as a weapon

Sofia sees herself as a doll more than a person, she knows her role is as a tool or a weapon and has tampered down the bits of herself that set her apart. Seeing her come to grips that she is not only human, but an exceptional one, even just for a moment was wonderful to experience alongside her. I cannot wait to start the next book.

I was so excited to read niko's story and it is so far absolutely incredible! Sofia has battles against the men in her life since she was young, finally she meets someone who gets and understands her. He just so happens to be from a rival family and psychotic (well to everyone but her) he's a perfect red flagged hero. Absolutely loved the first part to their story can't wait to get started on the next book!

Favourite quote....
I'd usually say buy a guy dinner first, but seeing as it is you... spit on it, prom Queen.

There's action within the first few pages of the first chapter and instantly you're hooked. These are the stories that keep you engaged and eager to read!

In order for Niko to get out of the situation he's in, he needs leverage. Enter Sofia. They know each other from when her cousin callously bet her in a card game. He's known she was his for the last 5 years and he will take what's his.

We met Niko in Kirill's book, and he came across as unhinged and deranged. He still is but we get to see that he's a complex character with a whole bunch of different layers. He does things differently than most. He did some questionable things in the Vicious Vengeance Due, and you weren't quite sure whether we were going to like him or not. Underneath it all, he wants someone that is his other half, that will be the light to his darkness

Sofia feels trapped in her life. All she wants to do is get out from under her father and move away. She doesn't have freedom and the friends she has have been hand-picked, so nothing is really what she has chosen. Sofia happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and then she becomes Niko's pawn. She fights it at the start but she soon realises that she has more freedom with a deranged psycho than she does with her own family. Niko will do anything for Sophia and will unalive anyone that hurts her.

Written really well. Sophia and Niko are perfect together. His pretty little prom queen and her unhinged psycho. Their chemistry was undeniable! I have thoroughly enjoyed being taken back to the beginning of how these two first met and how they interacted over the years and how Niko's obsession with Sofia grew.

This was one of those books that was packed with action, I loved every minute of it. Mila really holds you hostage with her words and you do not want to put the book down. I was on the edge of my seat until the very end!.....and then that cliff-hanger!?!?

Wow, what a crazy ride.

When I say this man is absolutely unhinged, I mean he is a RABID DOG. he was biting, barking, snapping his teeth and let me tell you I've never read about a man that's more fucked up in the head than him. He was so obsessed and in love with Sofia that he couldn't see straight and at the same time he was a psycho bitch that wasn't afraid of anything. MY MAN STARVED FOR DAYS, GOT BEATEN FOR WEEKS TO AN INCH OF HIS LIFE AND STILL TOOK ON LIKE 7 PEOPLE?? I was flabbergasted.

And you know what's crazier? I am absolutely in love with this man. There's just something about crazy psychotic men that hits the spot for me. The back and forth in this entire plot? I'm gonna be honest here, this plot was crazy and got me questioning myself but it was so good? There was so much going on and yet it felt like nothing but in such a good way. Half the time I wasn't even taking the book seriously cuz it was so funny to me and its not even because this is a bad book, because it isn't. It's just that the plot was wild.

I'm definitely gonna be reading the next book.
