I’ve struggled connecting to characters recently. This, I felt this. Their love was epic. Started out more him, but she felt it. She was just confused. There was no way she was going to resist him. He handled her feels, doubts, concerns beautifully. This was good, so so good.

This duet is in the same(ish) world as another romance from this author and it is messy and steamy and all the things. Not for the faint of heart, nor for those who have any content issues. I have never imagined myself enjoying this subgenre, but I'm embracing my dark era, I suppose.
