Borderline heretical.
Throughout this book John Eldredge manages to say very little, misinterpret and take out of context scripture, and spread a false idea of what following Jesus in this day and age looks like. I would not recommend this book to anyone, as I personally view some of the ideologies in this book harmful for followers of Jesus. Not everything is bad, and there is a good one liner here or there, but all in all the good is surrounded by muck.

Good, not great, but like most Eldredge books somehow seems to increase my faith and enthusiasm for God.

This is a book for all of to read coming out of Covid. So many have walked away or still recovering from the trauma. I am rereading this one. Excellent and healing for my soul.

A beautiful response to COVID, trauma and weariness to fast -paced striving of society.
We are resilient yet if we truly desire strength God allows us to tap into him.
