♾️ stars for this series so far. I'm so intrigued to see Wren and Gabe's story and how that ends the series but I absolutely am in love with Penny and Rafe.

Penny and Rafe’s story is so much better than Rory and Angelo.

I really enjoyed this series. BUT its kinda a bummer that the “mafia” plot was underutilized. I was so excited after the first book ended with it being the start of the “war” between Cove and Dip, especially how the last lines of that books had heavily implied that it was only the beginning. And thats what i was looking for in this book duology, i guess?
But sadly, i got disappointed that the conflict between the Cove and Dip was put at the back burner so that the duology would only focus on Penny and Rafe’s relationship. I love me a slow burn romance but, damn, i felt like this duology is kinda dragging and should’ve just been one book? Idk.
I really tried loving this duology but i just felt disappointed when i finished it. Like, thats it? How easily the author just resolved Penny’s conflict with that thing with Martin and the Atlantic City. And how i felt like Dante’s character was forgotten. Idk.
