einfach so geil, wie penny rafe um ihren kleinen finger gewickelt hat, HE WORSHIPPED THE GROUND SHE WAS STANDING ON, AS HE SHOULD TBH?? this man was on hes kneeeees, obwohl sie ihn die ganze zeit shitgetalked und fertig gemacht hat, she was such an ICON und er war einfach sassy king (kann nicht glauben, dass er 15 jahre älter sein soll, fand die age gap auch unnötig? he was a little baby boy in his head)
das buch war so geil, kann nichts negatives sagen, AUẞER

this book was everything. it had the laughs, the spice, the banter, the angst, the tension, the drama, the groveling. like she brought him to his knees, literally. and he wasn’t even mad about it.
“You’ve ruined my life but I’m not strong enough to stop you.”
penelope price is one of the best fmc’s i’ve ever read. she’s so smart, badass and headstrong, and she has men wrapped around her finger, including the “gentleman” rafael visconti. she’s an icon! i love her. she knew what she wanted and didn’t quit when faced with obstacles. not only that, she knew she deserved better and demanded it. she made rafe work for it.
rafael visconti, the notorious gentleman... except when it comes to penny price. he became the world’s biggest simp for her, and it’s incredible. he’d literally pay her $100 + VAT + tip just to kiss her. every. single. time. the character arc this man went through and hoops he had to navigate to get the woman he loves back... *chefs kiss*
not only was their chemistry so hot, but they were both really funny. i’m the type of reader who really enjoys jokes and banter in books and this one delivered in all aspects.
all in all, rafe and penny are two souls who were destined to be together. it was fate. written in the stars, ya-di-da-da, all that shit. their story may have complicated, but beautiful nonetheless.
i also really enjoyed the appearances of rory and angelo,
lastly, after all the breadcrumbs we got, i need gabewren now. please, somme. please.

The way this author made this story 600+ pages and I still desperately want more. I can only assume that she made these two books purely because of the combined page count. This is definitely not a book that can stand on its own considering it’s the second and third act of a single story but I loved it. There was something about how unbothered she was to move things along that really worked for me. The insecurities of these two broken idiots had plenty of time to flourish organically before inevitably leading to the third act break up, allowing me as the reader to actually want them to take some time apart until they could communicate better. Plus the groveling is god tier.
I will say that this book was even lighter on plot than the first one. There were multiple big plot points, outside their relationship, that were discussed many times and then the climax was glossed over at best.
Moderate: Domestic abuse, Gun violence, and Violence
Minor: Child abuse and Pedophilia

The banter was great and the spice was spicy, but I think the attention to detail fell off a bit in this book, with some typos I didn't notice in the first two books.
I am excited to get to Gabe and Wren's story next (well, once they come out) because I feel like there's so much to get into with Gabe and Wren. Hoping that we also get a Tayce book or short story because I'm obsessed with her.

They become infatuated with each other but don’t want to be the one to “break first”. They have a constant competition on who will show more in the relationship. He messes up and breaks her trust. And then he has to grovel to get her back.
