If English is your second language it might be a bit challenging but 100% worth it, really fun and interesting. The characters are amazing.

Bastante entretenido de leer, pero la resolución del conflicto me dejó con sabor a poco.

I liked the book, but I think the reason I gave it three stars is not because of the book but because of me, this book has a more difficult English and it was hard for me to understand, I had to look up what was going on in google all the time. It also has a lot of scenes describing places, things, situations, in these scenes I didn't understand anything.

At first I was very confused, I didn't understand anything, I just knew it couldn't be the fault of a hound, or so I thought. I also did not know who had sent the letter with the warning.

I thought Barrymore was the killer, I mean his wife was crying in the middle of the night, and he was walking into a room at two in the morning, it was very suspicious.

Then we meet Mr. and Mrs. Stapleton, siblings (supposedly). Mr. Stapleton was very strange, and Mrs. Stapleton was trying to warn Mr. Henry to leave, i was very confused.

I was still suspicious of the Barrymore's, but then we found out that THE CRIMINAL WAS THE BROTHER OF MRS BARRYMORE, THAT WHY SHE CRIED IN THE NIGHTS, omg i was shocked.

Then we see someone in some kind of cave, and I thought someone was following Watson, BUT IT WAS SHERLOCK OMG, he was there the whole time.

And then we find out that MRS STAPLETON IS THE WIFE OF MR STAPLETON, NOT HIS SISTER OMFG WHAT THE HELL

Then they find a body, and I thought it was Sir Henry, but it was not.

And in the end it turns out that Stapleton was the murderer, he is a Baskerville and he had a "beast" (the hound), so he killed Mr. Baskervilles, now everything makes sense. I'm not going to comment much on the whole story, but I would like to say that Mrs. Stapleton made me feel sorry for her, poor thing, and Laura Lyons too, Stapleton manipulated her :(

SPOILERS Ahead. Consider yourself warned!!

I somehow think that this was the first Holmes that I read, and if that was indeed the case, then there was no better bait to get me hooked on to Holmes and Doyle. I borrowed this one from my school friend Tania when I was in 7th grade and I think several times after that from my school library.

It's unlike most Holmes stories. The standalone novel falls more in the horror genre and I always get goosebumps whenever I re-read this childhood favorite.

This book follows [b:The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes|194373|The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes, #4)|Arthur Conan Doyle|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1374680963s/194373.jpg|6328892], at the end of which Doyle kills off Holmes. On the feedback of the public, Doyle wrote another Holmes novel, but set before the events of The Final Problem.
