i'm not entirely sure what i just read and how i feel about it. the book dragged on most of the time, yet there was a tenderness that kept me engaged. i just feel kind of sad and empty for the reality of these characters. it's a strange and tough read

Was expecting this to be better, given the reviews and I usually like dark future-type books like this. Didn't really get into it, or like any of the characters. Felt like it was building up to something that never quite delivered, but maybe that was part of the point.

Estou há semanas pensando em como começar uma resenha sobre esse livro. Ele se tornou, sem dúvidas, um dos meus favoritos da vida. Do começo ao fim, a narrativa me prendeu e me atingiu profundamente, como se a narradora estivesse conversando comigo e me fazendo questionar minhas próprias convicções.
Não posso falar muito da história, pois contar a premissa dela já seria uma espécie de spoiler, uma vez que a definição do que são esses personagens e o que eles estão fazendo ali é uma das surpresas que o autor só vai nos revelar após as primeiras 100 páginas.
Um livro muito bonito, profundo e inesquecível. Kathy e Tommy vão morar pra sempre no meu coração. ♥️

Love finding good dystopian adult novels that don't just copy popular YA series!!! The narrator doesn't give away too much and you have to figure it out as you read which always keeps me interested
