I don’t recommend. This was such a disappointment.  It really feels like a fan fiction. 

Tedious. Melodramatic. Predictable. Clunky. Inauthentic. Unrealistic. Boring. 

So many poorly handled tropes. Miscommunication. Alpha BS. 

 the sex scenes were dark but not erotic reading. the potential eroticism was unfulfilled (eg the spanking was rushed and clunky). The MMC’s possessiveness and control were off-putting. And I don’t buy the FMC’s submission to his foolish demands on debasing her and risking exposure and humiliation. Her sub tendencies arent maturely handled. Or justified through the writing or characterisation. 

It reminded me a lot of my frustrations with Emma Chase’s Royally book series. And the silly tv series The Royals. 

Each of those series fell short of the potential in the set up.

Je l’ai trouvé mieux que le 1er surtout au niveau du caractère de Rhys qui est certes jaloux (surtout jaloux et possessif) comme dans la plupart des livres de romance, il manquait d’ailleurs un peu de personnalité mis à part quelques blagues et son côté arrogant envers la princesse dès le début.

J’ai en revanche adoré Bridget, elle a tout fait pour son royaume et en même temps pour leur relation, c’était une figure à la fois courageuse et attachante.

The man never had to grovel so : 👑parfait pour la queen Bridget 

Un point négatif serait les nombreuses ellipses temporelles surtout dans la part 1 qui cassaient le rythme de l’histoire à mon sens. 

C’est un meilleur livre que Twisted Love surtout que la trope est mieux exploitée et très intéressante, on voit les enjeux que Bridget doit affronter pour ne pas décevoir son royaume. Je pense qu’ils seront un de mes couples préféré de la série. J’ai par contre trouvé dommage qu’on est pas plus d’interactions entre Bridget/Rhys et le groupe d’amis comme on avait pu voir dans le 1, certes l’enjeu est concentré à Eldorra mais c’est une touche qui m’a manqué.

Ils semblaient aussi vouloir résoudre un bon nombre de leurs problèmes avec le sexe mais bon… Cela reste quand même un bon livre où l’on s’attache aux persos

You know when a book consumes you and it’s all you can think about for like a hot minute? Yeah, that’s what this book did too me and I’m not complaining about it! I LOVE RHYS AND BRIDGET. But to be fair, I am a sucker for princess romances. But this book was sooo good. I loved the mutual pinning of the characters. The loved the royalty dynamic. And RHYS, he is literally the definition of a perfect man. He literally raised my expectations in men. Like I don’t think I can do life without a men like him. I could on and on about all the things he did for Bridget that I liked, but it would way too long..sooo. And Bridget she was just regal and classy I loved it. I loved her personality, I felt like I could relate to her if you look past the royalty parts. But this book just makes you want to dive into their world and live it as a fly on the wall!

I loved Bridget and Rhys story, they are couple goals, I never reread books but I can see myself rereading this one and the smut oh my gosh 🥵. 10/10 recommend
