Not my favorite of the three, but Austin was pretty swoony *sigh*

I won’t lie, I was a bit disappointed in this book. I was expecting something that showed the dirty side of Rowdy we saw in Ruthless but that isn’t what happened. Now I understand that this story was his own, him letting him express his less than conventional preferences but I still felt like their good have been more. That being said. It was still a good book that I did enjoy and the chemistry was off the charts.

Someone needs to get me a rosary so I can go to confession and then call the ambulance to get me there!

I thought there was nothing left for me to read that would surprise me in such a way as Emi and Austin did... Hot diggity damn was that a great read. I honestly could not stop reading once I started.

Emi was so down to earth for the way she was raised and having the dance background she did. I could really relate to her and how she tried to make sure her father took care of himself after having such a huge trauma.

Austin touched the little Texan in me with his random drawl moments and his wit. He was so enjoyable and watching as he slowly realized his feelings and then Gina sends the Mack truck of emotions in and *BAM*!

This was the perfect mix of sweet and filthy:

'I stare at my phone, my thumbs poised above my
keyboard… To hell with it.

OK

That’s my good doll. Always ready for me when I
want her.

Instantly, heat funnels between my legs.'

My pulse was constantly racing reading this.

GO READ IT RIGHT F******** NOW IF YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOOD FOR YOU!!! - Me telling Gina about my feelings on how to put my review into intelligible words

This is Emi and Austin's story, it can be read as a standalone, but it is the third story in the Playboys in Love series. Ruthless, the second, is still my favorite. For some reason I didn't post my review of Ruthless here at the time, so you will find it bellow this one in this post.
Merciless was freaking adorable! Emi and Austin were so sweet and perfect for each other. For a book that has a somewhat taboo subject, it was surprising to me how romantic and sweet it all was. I didn't even notice the kink 🤣
(seriously didn't. Maybe there is something wrong with me! Haha)

I’m not a big fan of kinks in books (Go ahead and judge me, I judge myself) and so this whole series has been quite a journey in self-examination for me. What I’ve discovered is that if you ever have any doubts about a touchy subject matter, you should always feel safe with Gina’s writing. She has a way of breaching a touchy subject with a calm thoughtfulness that allows you to really understand the feelings and emotions of the characters and their stories. She’s shown me that there can be romance in even the most non-traditional relationships that I had previously judged.

The chemistry between Austin and Emi is off the charts for sure, but it’s their emotional connection and the way you see them open up to each other that will truly make you fall for them. When both of their walls are knocked down and you get to the heart of what has helped shape them into who they are and the way that they choose to love, everything falls into place and you will not just be rooting for them and their HEA, you’ll be aching for it.

This is a MUST READ book. No, a MUST READ series!!
