Meh.
The line “Spill the tea, sis.” said by the main character, seemingly not ironically, seriously hurt my soul. Especially since there had not been much writing like that in the previous chapters so it felt completely out of touch and jolted me right out of the book.
As for the book as a whole it just wasn’t that good, the characters + the situations they found themselves in were too far from realistic/ were missing key elements to make them believable in my opinion.
Two warnings: The couple are so far from together in the first book and it ends with a cliffhanger.
Overall just not that great. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but someone needs to warn the people. It’s fine for wasting your time but there are definitely better romance/ spicy books out there. I doubt I’ll be reading the rest of the series.
