OrangeBoy is a fantastic book, definitely one for your older YA readers though. Set in and around Brixton, it tells the story of a young black boy called Marlon whose brother had been involved in drugs, but who desperately wants not to follow his brother's footsteps. However, the deals that his brother had got into follow Marlon around, and step by step he inexorably falls into his brother's violent gang world. Will he be able to escape when everyone, his friends, the police and his mother, expect nothing better of him than following in his brother's footsteps? A really gritty read, teenagers will love it!

I mean it was one of the books that got me really engaged until almost the end BUT then it just had some things that did not have any reason in my opinion,still such a good book.

I loved the running theme of music throughout but It just wasn’t for me. Not was I was expecting going into the book but it was okay. I’ve read worse let’s say that. 🖤
