I'll give this 2.5 stars because the premise of the story was good.

If you want to know what this character wears on a daily basis and how she puts on and takes off her clothes (Designer names dropped randomly)then this is the story for you. If you want to know Make, Model, Brand etc etc etc of everything see, done, worn, ridden in and eaten... then this is the book for you.

The men are hot, and like I stated, the premise/story is good.... if you take out all the fluff.

allen is the story of Lisa, a career women who just signed with the biggest PR firm in the area in an effort to boost her already successful career even higher. Lisa often thinks about taking a step back and finding a husband and raising a family, but that wish and her career are at odds and until she figures out how to balance them both she won't admit her feelings to anyone not even her best friend Jill who always supports her and makes sure that she gets out and enjoys herself to counter all the stress of her job.
Samuel is the owner of the firm she just joined and he seems to have a more than work related interest in her. Alex is the sweet old fashioned guy who lives in her building and always makes her feel save and happy and cared about, but he does not have Samuel's fire. Lisa doesn't realize it but the men are more different than she knows. Lisa begins having nightmares after she joins the firm and as they become more intense she find herself on edge more and more often. Lisa must keep her life in balance and figure out the next step before her dreams become to real and she looses her chance at the life she wants.

3.5 stars - ARC received for honest review

I really enjoyed the premise of the story - demons, angels, who will she choose.

I liked Lisa - she seems to be a strong, steadfast woman. She is thriving in the career she loves, and everything is all going to plan. And for once she is not a whiney, complaining, procrastinating and weak, character

The first about 20% of the story felt a bit schizophrenic, jumping from character to character, and for a while there I felt a bit perplexed as to what was happening

But then things started to settle down and I became really engrossed in the story.

And the two "men" in Lisa's life. Her boss, Samuel, who has recently beome a lot more flirtatious with her, and has become a lot more suggestive with what he want with her. And her sexy neighbour, Alex, who drops into her life and changes her for the good.

Neither man is what they seem, and we get taken on a ride to discover who they are and what they want from Lisa. I was unsure if I wanted Lisa to be with Samuel or Alex (at least until we found out more about them). But in the end, Team Alex all the way.

Through their stories, we find out what people would be willing to give up for the one they love, and the consequences of the decisions they make.

Unfortunately for me, I felt that the last 10-15% if the book again lost the fluidity of the middle part of the book, and felt that we were rushed towards the conclusion of this story, only to find we'd been cliffhangered!!

Perhaps a little more time could have been spent to get our characters to where they were at the end, instead of everything being wrapped up as quickly as it was?

But this may be just me, and you will all have to read Fallen yourself and see what you think.

Fallen is a good debut novel from Ms Morgan, and I know that I will go ahead and read the next book when it comes out, to learn what happens to Lisa, Alex and the other players in this book.

Grade: B+ (Four Stars)

What a interesting paranormal romance! This book started out slow for me. Might be a personal thing, but it didn’t grab me right off the bat. I was pulled in once things got going and I’m completely glad for that! This is a fantastic book, and I am only on the four star, and teetering really close to five, because I like books to grab me right away. Personal preference. This a paranormal novel, it’s got a lot more going on under the surface. Yes, Lisa works at a PR firm, and she’s good at what she does, and her hott boss is hitting on her. We’ve seen that story, but what Morgan does differently in this book is introduce the supernatural elements. That’s what makes this book different then all the others! This is a battle of heaven and hell, and Lisa signed herself on to the wrong side. Alex, the wonderful sweet counterpart to the evil boss, is going to fight for Lisa no matter what it takes. This was a good story, once I got into it, it kept me reading, and I was engaged. I don’t usually read romances, unless they are paranormal, but this was pretty good. The sex scenes were quite steamy for those of you who look for that in a read, you will not be disappointed. Overall, this is a great read! Don’t miss this! Big things coming for Julie Morgan! :)

The only negatives I have to say about this book, are that it had perhaps too much detail. Normally I wouldn't complain about more details, but these were mundane details like the process of picking out an outfit and other things that didn't really add to the story. That being said, the book did pull me in. I was confused at the beginning as to what was going on, and when I finally realized that either Alex or Samuel was a "bad guy" I found myself early on routing for my favorite. I love that there was some closure at the end of the book, and yet you could see the potential for another book. That way you're not left feeling like you're dangling, but you'd still be interested in reading more when the 2nd book came out. Also, I feel like this was a different spin on the whole "fallen angel" craze than I had read before. I admit I haven't read tons, but the ones that I've read were not much like this book at all. Overall Ms. Morgan has the start to what could be a great series.
