What a fun (and sometimes odd) read! It was a delight to see Dorothy and her friends again. Also, I think Billina is my new favorite character in Oz!

Another amazing adventure with Dorothy and friends, new and old, the oz series is really interesting and each book adds something new to the world of oz, and the world's becomes bigger the more you read each book, one of my favourite series so far, I cannot wait to carry on the series

This one was a silly story. I know that does not mean much for a children's story, but all the same, this one was silly. But, it sticks with the vein of the Oz series so far. We get Dorothy back in Oz along with her old friends and some new friends. Worth reading if you are going to go through the series anyway.

I remember reading the entire Oz series as a kid, and loving them. It's been very interesting to reread them as an adult. They're good, and I greatly enjoyed Bill the hen. Poor Dorothy, she keeps getting herself into situations.
Moderate: Slavery, Suicide, and Confinement

Moderate: Slavery and Suicide
Minor: Domestic abuse
The inciting incident of the plot is a character selling his family into slavery and then committing suicide in remorse; neither the slavery nor the suicide is depicted in detail, but both are mentioned repeatedly. There is an incident of domestic violence in the penultimate chapter which is framed as funny because a woman is the aggressor.kaylamolander's review against another edition

My ALL-TIME FAVORITE Oz book! Still brought me just as much delight as when I was a child.
