One of my favorite things about Osman’s writing is the way that he always uses motifs that connect the different parts of the story, but that he keeps that hidden until the end:
the protection of a best friend, the many bullets that missed.

I’m devouring this series. The characters are wonderful and the story is captivating. I like the short chapters that jump from scene to scene and viewpoint to viewpoint.
