This book was very interesting and fun.
I love Marianna and how her mind works, how she is so passionate about her studies ,how much she wants for her life .
I liked that there is a family with strong bonds that are there for each other with no judgment and support each others decision , as Nico is orphaned it looks quite good to mix them together.
It is a very slow burn, would have liked to see more of his desire for her, how he crave her and maybe small touches every now and then.
I liked that the author reveals Nico's past in steps and not all at once, it grows the character more and makes you realise more what his been through.
I love her for not wanting to give up at them, at him.
The research for this book seems to be amazing as there are a lot of details about the landscape when i felt like i was there in the first row I love how two people from different countries and cultures fall in love and want to have a life together.
The writing was very easy to understand and kept me engaged in finishing the book.
4,5 stars from me

I really enjoyed this quick romance read! Marianna was an intelligent, innocent woman looking for a sexual adventure in a foreign country and Nico was just the hot stud to give it to her.

But when their one night stand results in an accidental pregnancy, Marianna decides to uproot her sheltered life in Australia and move to Greece to make an honest woman out of herself with Nico. But Nico’s past interferes with any future they could possibly have and threatens his ability to accept Marianna and their baby.

The book had sweet and tender moments. It also had emotional and raw moments. In the end, souls were bared and the couple did get their HEA. I liked the author’s writing style! I really enjoyed the integration of a foreign language into the story.

I received an ARC of Beauty and the Greek Billionaire in exchange for an honest review.

A Greek billionaire meets his match in How to Lose a Fiancé. I’m generally not one for billionaire romances, but how could I resist one where the heroine pulls a reverse Ugly Duckling and is armed with a taxidermy fox? Author Stefanie London does a good job of mixing humor and heart in this story.

All her life, Sophia Andreou has worked to keep her father happy. She’s so close to getting her freedom when the man pulls the rug out from under her and says he’s arranged a marriage for Sophia. Marriage to a Greek billionaire may sound like a dream to some, but Sophia has no desire to be controlled by anyone ever again. She can’t refuse for fear of what might happen to her mother, so she’s determined to drive Dion Kourakis away with eccentric outfits and a few unique interests (see aforementioned fox). Sophia is a kind, likeable heroine who’s been put in a hard spot and won’t let herself be walked over. I liked her spirit and found her easy to root for. As for Dion, the man has a great deal of patience. He has a heartbreaking past that drives his present and really made me feel for him. I enjoyed watching him roll with the punches and handle whatever Sophia threw at him. I won’t spoil his reasons for agreeing to the arranged marriage in the first place, but suffice it to say they make sense for his character. Dion is pretty much perfect book boyfriend material, so I was eager to see he and Sophia fall in love once he got to see the real her. The two of them are well-suited and there isn’t any false drama, which I greatly appreciated.

How to Lose a Fiancé is the second book in Ms. London’s Greek Billionaires series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed Sophia and Dion together, but I will admit I didn’t find them or their romance very memorable, which is a bit of a downside for me. Baroness Sasha Foxington III was definitely the breakout star of this book, a fairly impressive feat considering she’s stuffed. But even with this quibble, I still recommend How to Lose a Fiancé to anyone looking for an entertaining contemporary romance that’s fast-paced, warm-hearted, and fun.

Stefanie London is a new to me author and I know that I will be adding more of her books to my reading list in the future.

I loved this story from the very beginning. Sophia’s father arranged for her to marry Greek billionaire, Dion as part of a business deal. Of course, Dion has his own reasons for agreeing to this crazy business deal. Sophia is completely against this, but she will do anything for her mother. So she comes up with a plan to scare Dion out of marrying her.

Sophia’s plan had me laughing from the way she dressed, from the way she acted and of course with her crazy hobbies she had. I loved how much a role this continued to play throughout the story.

Dion hadn’t grown up with a ton of money, he grew up in an orphanage and made a better life for himself. His childhood fueled him throughout his adult life. He purely wants to marry Sophia for selfish reasons, but what he doesn’t expect her hobbies or really anything about her. She was completely unexpected in every way possible.

This story was entertaining. There was laughs, there was a little drama, romance, steamy and overall it was just a fun story.

Cute, funny, and heartwarming. A delightful read if you’re in a slump and are looking for something that will help you back on track. I enjoyed the growth of both characters as well as the wonderful setting. And I’m curious to see more about the rest of the families.

Cute

Cute and sweet story. Virgin meets billionaire. She gets pregnant. Huge drama ensues. He realizes he’s being a jerk. Kiss and make up.

Stefanie London, a new-to-me author, writes about one of my favourite tropes in How to Lose a Fiancé and I was so intrigued and completely interested after reading the blurb. Plus, it had Greek's, which also happens to one of my favourite cultures to read about so I HAD to pick this book up!

Unfortunately, I found this book to be boring and I actually resorted to flipping pages after the 60% mark. Personally, the writing felt bland, the characters not interesting enough and the spark between the two leads was lacking. I struggled to finish this book because the story itself couldn't hold my interest for more than a few seconds.

Sophia, the female lead, started out good and with quite the potential and I understood where she was coming from but from the moment she landed in Greece I honestly found her to be quite childish. For someone like Sophia, who is not only well versed and know how things works but also has her own business, there was a certain kind of finesse I was expecting when it came to the execution of her plan. It was literally her blurting and acting on the first thing that she could think of.

Dion, the male lead, is described as someone who is powerful and at the top of the business world but for someone with an agenda, he seemed a little too laid back. For me, especially when it comes to alpha characters there is being relaxed and there is being relaxed, he was a little too much of the latter.

Sophia's parents were absolutely useless, especially the mother who was the definition of a doormat until the epilogue rolled around.

Sophia on multiple occasions claimed that she would never be like her parents but I couldn't help but note a few similarities in her behaviour, even though were not to that extent, were a reflection of those of her parents.

Moreover, this story is written in third person point of view and in my personal opinion it really didn't help the telling of the story.

Overall, How to Lose a Fiancé is a quick and easy read but one that was not for me.

I'm not sure if I've ever read this author before now, and after this book, I'm not sure I would read her again! This book was so clichéd and so unbelievable that I had a hard time slogging through it!

I absolutely hated Nico for most of the book! He came across as a dick, and even when we learn his motivations for being this way, it doesn't redeem him in my eyes! Therefore, it was hard for me to connect with him. Marianna wasn't much better. She seemed at times to be a doormat or terribly naive about love. Heck, she was basing most of her knowledge of love on romance novels! She seemed to be one of the "too stupid to live" types, but then she'd come up with some gem of inner strength and I'd give her another chance.

All things considered, this wasn't a great read for me.
