Okay, so I've given this a 3.5 stars. It would have been more because the writing is fantastic. You're drawn in from the start and I could barely put it down but honestly? The ending kind of ruined it for me. Spoilers ahead:
I found it completely unbelievable and here's why. Continuously throughout the book the guys are shown constant evidence of Anthony's abuse, he attacked her in the club with bruises covering her back and neck. He's constantly sending her threats, managed to avoid the cops because they know he's dirty, they know he had cameras inside their house recording her without her consent and they constantly dealing with her panic attacks etc. Yet a few photographs (taken before they broke up and without her knowledge) are given to them along with a note that claims she's been fucking him behind their back the whole time and they call her a whore, say that she deserved the abuse, asked for it even, isn't a victim blah blah and kick her out? No. That's a complete 180. For starters Link has dealt with an abusive partner who manipulated both him and his friends he should be the first to doubt it. Greg owns a security company and is a contracted killer who has done a deep dive check on him and admitted in one of his POV chapters that he needs to die. Yet he's throwing the photos at her and telling her to fuck off? I'm sorry but even if there was another note that threatened her if they didn't do it i still wouldn't believe they'd do what they did. I'm assuming the cop who shows up in the end is Griff but it's not actually said so there could be the angle that its bait for Anthony but again i don't believe they'd do that not unless they knew he was somehow recording them but still I don't believe it when Greg is for all intents and purposes a mercenary and wouldn't be threatened (physically) by Anthony - he's no match. They're supposed to be several years older than her and have dealt with all of this before with Link. They're aware she's had suicidal thoughts, depressed, having panic attacks and anxiety attacks and even if it's bait or whatever to go ahead and do that knowing it would trigger her? They literally drover her to her accident. Its a really bad storm they've told her to leave both houses and not come back so of course she will get in the car, it's dark, she's mid panic/anxiety attack plus devastated that is pretty much a guarantee she'd have a car accident - either on purpose or accidentally...

Living Words
So I'm confused on how to feel about this story, and the characters. I give it 3.5 ⭐️'s so 4 for rounding it up. The fmc was wishy washy with her feelings for guys. I understand her trauma but it didn't feel right to me. Then that ending with guys

I had a hard time putting this one down and never have I ever invested so much hatred towards a fictional character before. The storyline was great and the content believable. There are some strong trigger warnings such as dub con, non con, mental and emotional abuse, domestic violence, suicidal ideation, and suicide so take that into consideration before reading.
The only issue I had was that some descriptors became repetitive used in frequent intervals. There were also times that the characters emotions bounced back and forth so fast without any major changes in the story that at times it was difficult to follow who was thinking or doing what and when.
Otherwise I can’t wait for book two so I can get over that cliff hanger and resolve my inner anger at some of these characters.

Welcome to Jenn Bullard's debut "Living words"!
If you enjoy RH, fast burn, turbulence, ride or die besties and some M&M action, you have come to the right place!
I got this book as part of her ARC Team and really enjoyed reading it

Tori is a strong woman who in an abused relationship until she meets Tesa at work. Her ex-Anthony isn’t happy that she moves in with Tesa and he sends messages to her. But Tesa’s brother Miguel and his friends Greg and Link is not happy about Tori moving in with her. But when everyone finds out about Anthony, Tesa and the guys tries to protect her. Now Anthony will stop at nothing to get her back and take all the happiness she has found. Even though Tori will goes through some much, just prepared for incredible cliffhanger ending. What a fantastic debut book by Jenn Bullard.
