This was cute, not amazing. It follows how a stray cat meets a human and allows himself to be adopted after the human gains his trust and helps him out, then their adventures on several road trips looking for a new home when the human has some secret reason he can no longer keep his beloved cat. The end portion is a bit emotional, but not overly heavy. All in all a somewhat amusing, somewhat moving cute little book.

A touching book on a human's and a cat's strong friendship. Seeing Satoru and his friends (and ofc their pets and each of their stories with Satoru) from the eyes of nana made the whole book worth reading. The last 1 chapter and epilogue made me tear up a little.
SpoilerThe fact that nana rlly stayed with Satoru till the end (frm choosing to be a stray to see him when he is outside to Satoru's aunt, noriko, bringing nana into Satoru's room without thinking wheb Satoru was near his last) and how much nana actually loves anf misses his human (the imagery of the bright red berries of ash trees to the field of rainbow flowers nana saw with Satoru on their journey) was just tear wrenching.

Oh god this book
It's absolutely phenomenal, I went with it cos I heard it's wholesome, which it is but I was bawling my eyes for the last 40 pages. I love this, the characters are amazing, the relationship between Satoru and Nana is so cute and wholesome. Nana is actually such a fun, witty cat, when you read his pov you'd feel like it's actually a cat's thought process.

I am in love with this book and it's the first five star read for me for this year.
