3.5 so disappointed about the end...is that a proper end??? Not! The story is cut at the end, just like this...uff...it needed just one chapter more, that's all...

Story itself started interesting. Jamie is a rescue diver; Gavin is a millionaire who ended up in a river. This is one of those stories "I don't want a relationship, but steady fuck is ok" turned into "you are love of my life".
Problem I had with this story is that reminded of when I was a teenager and wanted to paint one month. Then I bought a guitar to lean on my wall only for my parents to buy me a fencing equipment next summer... A lot of projects I started and never finished. And this book is exactly like that. Like too many backstories were hinted, and all those loose ends weren't wrapped when you close your book and you have no idea where the hell was Mitchell even going with them. For example:
Jamie is very bitter and sarcastic. Reason for that seams to be something that happened to him when he was at war or it's cancer that got his parents... Something.
Gavin comes of as really cold. Reason for that seams to be that he has issues with his father (I still don't understand why exactly) or it's something with his pregnant stepmother... Something .
There is this boy- Silver("you can see pain in his young eyes"-that type of boy, you know) and he has some problems. That was mentioned enough to get you interested and then you are left hanging that there is something with him going on.
SpoilerAnd, I swear to God, if his quick exit from birthday party didn't have anything with Zeb in next book, I'll edit this review and rant about pointless chapters about those two.
Something.
Ending was...same? It ends kind of abruptly, but when I thought longer about it, that wasn't such a bad ending for this story at all. Jump in the river is exactly the sentiment I can relate to when it comes to lack of conversation between these two.
There was menage scene, hot.
So, all in all, not the best piece of writing from Mitchell.

I wasn't sure about this one. I almost gave up several times in frustration, but stuck with it. Overall it was pretty good, but I just couldn't get into these characters as well as the others.

Rounded up for good chemistry, some interesting arguments, and the birthday party.

Audiobook - 2 stars

Story - 2 stars

Well, there has to that one that breaks the good streak.

The narrator sounded bored, the characters were forgettable, the story was boring and didn't flow well.

Anyhoo shit happens.

Another great book in this series. This one had a slightly different feel to it compared to the others. Something I actually loved. The characters are again, very strong men, with histories and baggage. And the story is also fantastic.

I'm not quite able to give it 5 stars, even though I did love it, because in the end, there were some issues I would have liked to have seen resolved and I feel they are still hanging in the wind slightly. And to be honest, the ending felt rather abrupt and cut off.

But even so,, this is a fantastic read!

When Gavin's friend decides to jump off a bridge, he falls in trying to save him. Thankfully, they are both rescued by rough and sexy cop, Jamie. Jamie suddenly finds himself thrown in the spotlight for saving the life of the son of one the richest men in town. But it is Gavin that catches his eye. A very hot story about two men who really have no idea how to feel or even begin to express themselves. I swear that neither one of them knew how to communicate, but that's okay. It was still a great story, just a little lacking any actual romance.
